  1. Sheri you seem to have such a great attitude even with what has happened. I just finished a piece called Great Is Thy Faithfulness. God surely has been faithful to spare your lives.
    He will provide!

  11. Being a survivor of Hurricane Andrew back in 1992, I have an absolute understanding of what you are dealing with and the emotions running through you. Thankfully you and your family are ok. Prayers go out to you, your family and all your neighbors too. Mother nature can be cruel but with an optimistic heart, the horizon is waiting with new beginnings.

  36. This is one of many times when we take a moment to appreciate everything we have in our hearts and realize that although some material things have gone, we still have what is really important and we understand that with family, love and some really amazing friends we can do anything. Cheers to your life and your family togetherness.

  46. So sorry for your loss and I'm glad you were able to salvage some precious stitching. I'm wondering why many of the homes I saw on the news did not have basements, although the one woman who lost her legs in protecting her children--they WERE all in the basement. I cannot imagine the fury of these tornadoes. I hope you can build with something stronger/maybe a different home design.

  65. I am always amazed at what Mother Nature can throw at us, but more amazed and proud to see just how most of us react to those occasions. You are a prime example to the attitude of perseverence that is being revealed in many areas very close to me. I am sorry for your loss, but impressed with your attitude. I will keep you and your neighbors along with those in Indiana and my Kentucky in my prayers. Good luck to you in your rebuilding!
